FRIENDS OF CRANBORNE
Friends of Cranborne (FOC) is a non profit organisation run by parent volunteers of school for the children of the school. When your child becomes a pupil at Cranborne School, parents automatically become part of Friends of Cranborne. All monies raised through events provide additional learning equipment or educational experiences for your children. For example, the trim trail on the field, the dome climbing frame and the nursery chicks were all provided by the money raised from FOC events. The FOC committee meet four times throughout the year to discuss forthcoming events and expenditure, all parents are welcome and any fundraising suggestions greatly appreciated.
At the last annual general meeting the following were elected:
Chair: Casey Sullivan - Wilkins / Rebecca Christoforou
Vice Chairs - Debbie Maycock and Helen Boot
Treasurer: Micheal Cartine
A number of fundraising events are run by FOC throughout the school year. These include the Summer and Christmas Fayres, children’s discos, Easter egg hunts and the fireworks display. It takes a lot of planning and effort to run a successful event. Just offering an hour of your time in preparation of or during an event can make a huge difference to the smooth operation and amount of money that is raised. As most preparation or events take place in the school, you will be required to have a DBS check which you can enquire about at the school office.
