MILITARY COVENANT

Cranborne Primary School is incredibly proud to be a Silver Award holder of the Defence Employer Reognition Scheme (ERS).  The ERS encourages employers to support defence and pledge, demonstrate or advocate support to the armed forces community, and align their values with the Armed Forces Covenant.  The Armed Forces Covenant is a promise by the nation ensuring that those who serve or who have served in the armed forces, and their families, are treated fairly.

As signatories of the Armed Forces Covenant and Defence ERS Silver Award holders, we are committed to proactively demonstrating that Service personnel/Armed Forces community are not unfairly disadvantaged as part of their recruiting and selection processes.   We actively encourage any military veteran or Reservist to apply for roles within our school and we also hope to support any military spouse seeking employment within a school setting.  Indeed, we have recently registered as employers with Forces Families Jobs to attract spouses to work with us.  We would look very favourably on any application from a service spouse and think our culture and ethos make us the perfect setting for someone accustomed to Service life.
